As a Mechanical Fitter you will maintain, service, and overhaul the heavy industrial pump assets, treatment facilities, and dam infrastructure that supply bulk drinking water. ...

What You’ll Do

Strip, rebuild, and commission large-scale centrifugal, split-case, deep-bore, and chemical dosing pumps.
Perform laser alignments, mechanical seal replacements, bearing fits, and gearbox reconditioning.
Conduct preventative maintenance, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring across water treatment plants and pump stations.
Rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to keep critical infrastructure online.
Service, modify, and fit high-pressure control valves and associated pipe networks.

About you

Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner / Machinist) or similar
Proven track record maintaining heavy pumps, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems.
Commitment to strict WHS protocols, risk assessments, and safe working procedures in high-risk environments.
